Relationships are a Blessings Beyond Words

What a Blessing. Had the Opportunity to share my heart

I wasn’t going to mention anything about celebrating my birthday in the blog and while I began writing it, I realized or God hit me upside the head with a 2x4, that this is what HiS Print is all about. We have been coming for 20 years to “Love people where they are until they ask why!” and the result of that is exactly what occurred through them on that Tuesday night out at The NEST, Home of the Sisak Storks! The team and parents of the players, led by Coach Daniel, pulled off a surprise party after practicing that evening. As more people arrived and the smell of BBQ filled the air, I could tell something was going on! And with tears filling my eyes I can tell you that over 40 people who arrived to share their love with me was the surprise of all surprises! I won’t even try to express what the emotions and feelings were through their love and coming, I will let the pictures show, but I will say some thankfulness that I have. These parents and children have become family and since I have celebrated many of my birthdays over here the past 20 years, it has always been a blessing!

My opportunity to thank everyone for making me feel special

Coming these many years God has blessed with relationships some older than others, but all special as the next. I am thankful they didn’t have the number of candles that I am old! That so many people have become like family! That their expression of love shows me the importance of us coming to love them through just our willingness to be here. It is a remarkable to witness God’s development of relationships if you are just willing to spend time, listen and not try to convince them of anything, just show them the love of Christ and listen for the why, it will always come! We are told to come and share, not to save. The Holy Spirit will pierce their hearts, just be ready to share your BC/AC story (Before Christ / After Christ). We just need to come to the table with your willingness to listen to understand, instead of your desire to speak to be understood, that will allow the Holy Spirit to rise up and bring them closer and before you know it, some sooner than later, you will have a relationship started.

Our last school program was held in the school gym, we got a chance to meet the principle and other teachers as well.

20 years of relationship and brotherhood with Coach Daniel of the Storks. True Brother

19 years with the Gentle Giant, Janko. What a close relationship we have developed

16 years of a relationship with Barbara. Our first connection was with the children’s library and today she is a dear sister in Christ.

I cannot express my emotions of thankfulness any better than that and will allow the pictures to share and show the story. What I can say, is God provided His Son and HE DID IT! He has left each of us here on this earth and wherever we are, He’s giving us the opportunity to share His love through our story, Let’s Do IT! No better way to show love than to take the time to develop relationships and that takes listening over speaking, and sharing when you have the opportunity.  Amen? AMEN!  HE DID IT!
