Summer Mission is Here

June Blog
PRAY, PRAY, PRAY! With an army of prayer warriors, a mission team moves at His sacred pace under a dome of spiritual protection that is unmatched by any human strength or power! Thank you for being a part of that protection. We appreciate each and every one of you and those prayers you lift for us, when God elevates you to do so.

It is so hard to believe June has jumped up in front of us and our summer MiLO to Croatia and the Balkans, is right around the corner. Things have been so busy and crazy that it seems every time I sit down, a week goes by. I realize I am moving much slower and sitting down takes longer, but the time still flies on by!

HiS Place (Alvin)

We are still serving locally and the development of HiS Place is coming along step by step. As I mentioned in the last blog, the dirt pads have been put in for the Posey household and the God Garage Warehouse! God has also raised the amount of finances necessary to complete the next step of putting in the concrete pad and create the solid foundation needed for that 10,000 square foot warehouse to be built. We have been receiving a lot of rain and we are just waiting for God to put the concrete construction crew together and take that next step in His process of building out HiS Place. We recently hosted a pastors gathering out at HiS Place, that included pastors from the Pearland and Alvin area. There were 15 who came out for lunch, enjoyed some pausing and gave us the opportunity to share the vision of HiS Print and HiS Place.

Lost Lagoon

I am still blessed by the opportunity to provide Poolside Chapel at Lost Lagoon RV Resort in El Campo every Sunday, in May, June, July and August while I am in town. It has been such a blessing to have this opportunity for the past three years and Kenna and Stephen Lucas have become dear friends. They have blessed us with this opportunity to share His love locally and reminds me that whether we are 6 feet, 60 miles or 6,000 miles, we always have the opportunity to share with those God places in our paths.

Equipment Ministry

The Glocal ministry of collecting equipment locally and preparing shipments for global distribution has been extremely busy. We continue to get calls from local and statewide high school coaches, organizations and families to come and pick up equipment they are willing to share with the world. We have 5 requests from around the world to fill and ship once we return from Croatia. With the wet weather we have been having and with no cover to pack under, we are limited in creating those shipments. We have been extremely blessed by Wayne and Robyn Zielke, who own WAZ Service Machine Shop. They have allowed us to store equipment in shipping containers in their outside yard and use a portion of their warehouse to house completed shipments, waiting to be picked up and shared around the world. We could not possibly continue that part of the ministry without their gracious hearts and willingness to make things inconvenient for their business, while creating space for us to do the ministry. Please pray for the shop and God’s continued provision of work for the machine shop.

MiLO25

The Global mission begins on June 22 through July 20. We have several team members coming and going throughout that time and in fact will have 17 team members in Croatia at one time and 9 of those are brand new. This year’s team will represent 10 churches, which includes 5 communities around Houston, as well as members from Austin and Dallas. Love the way that God puts together a team from all walks of life, different cities and churches, with one common denominator: Jesus and to love others like He loves us. We will have a full plate of opportunities, including baseball/softball camp, food and prayer delivery to low-income families, Texas Carnival street reach event, Children’s library programs in two cities and the opportunity to work with the Croatian National Softball teams. God continues to open doors of opportunities for us to share His love and has created some wonderful relationships during these past 18 years. Can’t wait to see how God will use this team to share His love and build relationships, I will be sure to keep you posted on what’s happening and what you can continue to pray for.

Thanks again for your love, support and prayers. We couldn’t do this without you. The comfort it gives me and the team is something we cannot measure, but comforts us while we go, serve and love!

HE DID IT!
David
