God's Highway

Surrender, Walk in Surrender, Learn from the TOILS and Heed the Warning Signs

Walking on God’s path is the first step of journeying with Him. Although that is the most important step, because without it you’ll be on a self-induced, self-satisfying trip to destruction that will have its momentary highlights of happiness and self-fulfillment, it will quite quickly fade away; leaving the person asking “Is this all there is?”

Getting in step with God on His path is much more than praying for His illuminated path, because without following the next steps that are just as important as that first one, you will soon find yourself wondering how you got where you ended up and bewildered on how you got there; After all, you were on His path, where did He go!

Once on this journey on His path, you must remember what it means to pause (Rapa with Papa), Submit and get in proper alignment (Hupotasso), learn from the TOILS:

  • Trust
  • Obey
  • Intentional
  • Loyal
  • Surrender

Be cautious of the hurry. If you take each of those steps right after seeing His illuminated path, the peace that Paul often speaks of will transcend your own understanding.

TRUST- Certainty based on experience, trait of believing and reliability in others, complete confidence; follow without fear.

OBEDIENCE- Submissive behavior with respect, willingness to obey.

INTENTIONAL- Done with purpose and intent, an act you intend to carry out.

LOYAL- Steadfast allegiance, unwavering in devotion, inspired by love; the act of binding oneself to something, feelings of allegiance.

Don’t let the hurry of life eliminate the service of love. You’re here to share His love and make His truth evident. That takes the Spirit leading self; over self-dictating the Spirit.

We must look different than the world if we’re going to make an impact for the Kingdom.

Thank you, God, for;
Bringing Your beauty into vision,
Your promise into focus.
I can roll knowing,
God is in control.
May I roll where He Points,
Travel at the speed of His Pace.
May I be thankful for His Path,
Whether it’s up or down hill.
I Know He Will always Provide,
And extend His Protection.
While accomplishing His Purpose,
In me His servant!

“Come and hear, all you who fear God;
let me tell you what He has done for me.”
Psalm 66:16

Come and See!

As I mentioned in the blog that went out earlier this week, this has been a whirlwind season and one that God has accomplished much, and we just want to sing the words of Psalm 66: “Shout for joy to God. Say to God how awesome are your deeds! Come and see what the Lord has done. Come and hear, all who fear God; let me tell you what He has done for me. Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld His love from me.”

There is much more to that Psalm than I have written here, but you can see from the verses written that the author is letting us know that God has done some amazing things and you need to come and see what He has done. Just like the psalmist, I would love to invite each of you out to HiS Place for a sit down and pause on Pa’use Porch, feed an animal, take a walk on the outer prayer walk or take a chair and come sit on Prayer Hill and have a quiet time with God; you are invited and we would love to show you all that God has done, is doing and will do in the future, by sharing the vision He has placed in our hearts.

Prayer Walk

On with what God has blessed us with and how He keeps moving us down His highway allowing us to use our steps to leave HiS Print. We were blessed to join churches and other ministries in the Pearland area to come together for a time of worship and prayer before all headed out to every school in the Pearland school district, as well as a couple schools in the Alvin ISD. A local ministry had put together a prayer walk, asking churches and ministries to pick a school and on August 20th, we would gather at one of the schools and then after a time of corporate worship, we would disperse and go to the schools each had chosen to pray for. HiS Print chose the PACE school, which is the school that students are sent to for disciplinary reasons. We had 6 of us there to stand at the doors and pray for the students, teachers, staff and families represented there. It was a real blessing to participate in this wonderful event and hundreds of people came out to support it. Look forward to continuing to pray for the PACE school throughout the year.

Covered Trailer

As I mentioned in the blog earlier this week, we took a trip over to Alabama to deliver some football equipment to a company that was willing to allow us to place it in their 40 foot container. To do this safely we needed a covered trailer and when we investigated renting from U-Haul the cost was going to be $1,100 and that didn’t include gas. We have always wanted a covered trailer to have to pick up equipment in the area and use to transport animals for events. Well, it just so happened as we are spiritually traveling with Jesus on God’s highway, we got an offer to buy a 16 ft trailer that was used as a car hauler. A trailer of this caliber and size could easily go for $6,000-$8,000 and he was willing to sell it to us for $2,000. He even arranged to have us pay him $500 monthly, to help us out financially. What an absolute blessing. God took over and provided the support for $1,000 of that $2,000, as well as 4 new tires. Making the trip to Alabama went smoothly and we look forward to using it around the city to pick up equipment and transport HiS Herd where it needs to go.
HiS Transport that will be used to pick up donated equipment and transport animals to events and parties.

Feed & Tack Barn

We now have our new Feed and Tack Barn, delivered and in place to use and take the pressure off of the porch, which is where we were having to keep the feed and other items associated with the care of the animals. The delivery company brought it to us free of charge and the trucking company that let us store it in their yard for the past 6 months, at no charge, helped us arrange it all. Watching the delivery and how the driver maneuvered that container into position was a work of art. He brought it around trees, between fences and placed it in perfect position in one shot.
With the addition of the Feed & Tack Barn there was a lot of work that had to be done to the inside as well as dig a trench to supply water and electricity to it and we were up for the tasks. The inside was in great shape other than a cleaning and sanding of the metal floor so we could repaint and keep the rust from getting worse. We moved around a few things and took down a wall in the middle that allowed the 40-foot container to be one long room instead of two. Then we were able to repaint and prepare for moving in of all the feed containers and supplies. The 40-foot container came fully equipped with conduit for lights and outlets for the inside and outside and this was such a huge blessing and answer to prayer. We just need to dig the trenches from the supply source of water and electrical and then lay the conduit and PVC. When we figured out the length of pipes, we need a made a few phone calls to a couple of men that had electrical and pool companies, so that they could get us a price from their suppliers and help us be good steward and save money in purchasing the items necessary. Both blessed us with not only supplying the conduit and PVC necessary for free, but they had also it delivered to HiS Place. I can’t begin to tell you what these acts of support have meant to all of us at HiS Print, but I can tell you we were touched by God’s people coming around us in a time of need. Even the rental of the backhoe was a blessing. The company allowed us to rent it on Friday and use it through the weekend and although we ran it for 16 hours, they only charged us for a one-day rental and when I tried to pay him for the additional hours, he told me his dad was a pastor and he knew he should help those who are doing God’s work.

Digging the trenches and laying the pipes will allow us a lot of flexibility in and around the feed barn.

Floor sanded and painted ready for use in taking care of the animals God has placed under our care.

Please, please take me up on the offer to come out and visit us out at HiS Place and enjoy some time to relax or if you’d prefer to come out and work, we will surely put you to work and help. There is always plenty to do, but when you do, you will still start on Pa’use Porch before doing anything for some time in prayer.

God bless you all and have a wonderful God filled week and appreciate your love and support.

HE DID IT!
David
