Fall 2019 Blog 6: Back Home in Croatia

I have been asked a lot lately about the mission and scope of HiS PRINT Ministries. If you know anything about HiS PRINT, you know that our mission is to love people where they are and love them till they ask why. We have been blessed to do that for the past 13 years here in Sisak, Croatia.  What started out as a mission team that came to share His love through one sport, in one city, in one country; has grown into a ministry that declares His love through multiple sports, in several cities across a region that expands into many countries.

But it wasn’t until this evening, sitting in the newly developed HiS Cafe at HiS HOUSE, with a group of old friends as well as new acquaintances (most are first-time visitors to HiS HOUSE) that I put my finger on a big part of the story. Through the course of the evening, several of them came up to me and expressed their appreciation for HiS PRINT and commented about the overwhelmingly peaceful spirit they felt while here at HiS HOUSE. They expressed their feeling of warmth and love while they were within the walls! BAM! That’s the answer. A huge part of our ministry is loving people when they come to visit and sharing with them our friendship and hospitality. That love and friendship grants them this feeling of love they can’t dismiss!  Amen, end of story!
I was truly convicted by this self-imposed question: Am I providing that same feeling of love and acceptance back in my actual home and with my own family? There’s always a learning curve and I’m sure most of us have been convicted a time or two, when we know we have failed in that area. My family doesn’t get the “Mossman” that others get! The one that is full of love and respect. Let’s respond as King David did, when Nathan came to him and said we have a problem in the Kingdom and that problem is You! Immediately David repented and as a result of his heart change he became dedicated to serving the Lord everywhere, always and to everyone. So much so, God spoke, “David is a man after my own heart.”
Me and Travis at the airport.
There are only three of us on this MLO and we hit the ground running. Hunter came for the first time last year and felt the call to return with me this fall; and this is the first time for Travis who has become a dear friend. Travis is from Franklin, Texas, and spends most of his days on the back of a horse roping cattle or spending his energy breaking in a horse. Travis caught the vision of HiS PRINT and had the desire to make this MLO his first mission overseas. I am extremely blessed to have both Travis and Hunter here and look forward to what God has in store.

We are organizing a lot of meetings and visits to people in charge of teams, Ministries and city officials. The ministry started yesterday, sitting around a table and building those relationships, but they initiated it by stepping up and coming to the airport to greet us Cowboy style. The guys grabbed all my straw cowboy hats and had them on when we walked out of customs.

Keep us in your prayers as we attempt to make all these connections and meetings to discuss possible ways to help others as well as solidify plans for our Spring and Summer MLO’s.
Have a wonderful God filled day!
HE DID IT!
David
