2019 Summer MLO Blog 3

Hello Folks,
I just returned from a fantastic, uplifting and spiritual awakening weekend in Altenkirchen, Germany, but more on that later. I want to share all the neat things that occurred at the ECSU (European Christian Sports Union). But...…...

First I gotta send out another blog to elevate our HiS PRINT thanks to our Croatian, Serbian and Bosnian friends who went way above and beyond in helping us get our latest shipment of 18,000 pounds into Croatia through customs, and also thank them for their patience and endurance in getting the shipment unloaded and separated.
Friends from Serbia and Bosnia who came to unload and sort the equipment.
Vuk and Johnny came from Serbia, Eldar and Jeremy came from Bosnia and met up with Antonio and Janko in Sisak. Through Janko’s diplomatic phone calls, Antonio’s excellent and meticulous record keeping of all the equipment distribution given out up to this point, and Eldar, Jeremy, Johnny and Vuk’s hard work and labor, the shipment cleared customs and made its way to our warehouse in Sisak. There the fellas not only unloaded it, but separated the supplies and even managed to fill the Croatian football orders.

What a huge blessing this was and I cannot thank them enough for their effort, dedication and love through this act of service. God has truly blessed us with terrific friendships to help us accomplish our goals! These guys are an amazing group of friends to do that for us while we are not in country.

Workers Asking for Prayer!

Another neat blessing came from the workers who have been hired to work on the HiS HOUSE expansion project.  They have started asking for prayer before eating and will not begin eating until Janko lifts it all up in prayer. What a wonderful display of how speaking to God in prayer can affect a person's heart to the point of desiring it to be done.

These lunch times have allowed me to get to know Milosh and Milan, who (you guessed it!) have received a nickname! They are the "M&M Brothers" and the smile on their faces always lift me up! They are very gifted and talented and we are blessed to have them working on our project.

The NEST

Before closing I want to share with you this picture of the back of the stage we built at The NEST back in 2012.  We were hosting nightly "Fields of Faith" events after each day of the European Baseball Championship Tournament. Many of you may not know the story of the history of The NEST and I won’t go into great detail about here, but in short, the saying “A Field of Weeds........to a Field of Dreams ...... into a Field of Faith" reminds each of us what God can do when you take time to pray.
The stage outside The NEST outfield fence.  It's a constant reminder of who owns this field!
The short story:  In 2006 the Sisak Storks baseball club approached us with the dream of a baseball field and asked for advice on how to begin the project.  Our response was to begin with prayer and never stop. With a little bit of financing ($5,000 USD), a lot of hard work and dedication on behalf of the baseball players, in 2011 we were able to dedicate that field to the Lord and the City of Sisak. Follow this link if you would like to learn more about the History of The Nest.

Seeing the improvements over the years and the smiles and laughter of the players who come to play here always reminds us that God is in control. He has allowed us to spread the love of a game and most importantly share His love in the process!

Just to put things into perspective, The NEST is one of only four baseball fields in all of Croatia, and there are not many more than that throughout the entire Balkan Region. Now being able to host tournaments and invite different teams from other countries and cultures is uniting a region that has been torn apart throughout the centuries!

Dugout reminder that we are to share Christ's love and leave HiS PRINT behind (not our print.)
We are in constant prayer for further expansion of His Kingdom by asking Him where He would like to plant the next field for baseball or American football.

Remember Jesus loves you and so do I!

HE DID IT!
