Croatian Migration Continues

Hello Folks,

Apologies for not keeping you up to date on the migration. It has literally been non-stop since they landed on Wednesday night. Trying to describe all that is going on and happening is also extremely difficult! So much physically going on, but also the emotional connections and the spiritual awakening happening around us is heart warming. The loving them till they ask why is happening all over the place and we are having the awesome opportunity to share Him!

Thursday

Thursday we visited NASA Space Center and went shopping at Baybrook Mall (Dicks and Academy are probably the highlight of everyone's list of places to go!)

Friday

Then on Friday we practiced on the Houston Baptist University baseball field on a perfect day and followed that up with a trip to the Bayou Wildlife Park down in Alvin. That was a real hoot and a blessing to be with them traveling through the park on a tram feeding the animals! Finished up Friday with a visit to Big Horn BBQ in Alvin and the ribs and burgers they ate were a highlight!

Saturday

Saturday we played our HiS PRINT MiX-iT Up Camp and Games and had 33 American players come and play with the 20 Croatian players. What a joy that was to witness!. To see not only the players mix it up on the teams and play with each other, but to see the parents share shade together and spend time talking and getting to know one another, was an even deeper blessing! We capped off the day Saturday with a pool party at the Page house and what a terrific time of fellowship! It gave us a chance to spend some quality time sharing and talking about our cultures and faith in Jesus!

Pictures say it all...

I am keeping this short because I am overwhelmed with emotions and really don't have the words to adequately describe it all! I pray the pictures can help fill in the blanks and please know that your prayers are appreciated and we would love to have you continue throughout this week, as we move forward into many more activities.

I will say it was a real blessing to be able to tell them on Thursday, before going into NASA, that their tickets had been paid for and they were so touched by the gesture. It was a precious financial gift that allowed that to happen! Thanks for helping us love them where they are and love them till they ask why! We serve a Risen Savior and we are excited to be a part of His work here on earth!

Blessings and have a wonderful God filled day! Remember Jesus loves you and so do I!

HE DID IT!
David
