HiS PRINT Update-Miracles of Equipment and Working Together

Hello Folks,

Wanted to reach out and share with you some really neat things that are going on overseas in Croatia. We are excited to see how God is working through all of this and making the opportunities for us to share His love and watch Him work out details we couldn’t even get close to making happen. 

For the past 10 years we have been collecting donated equipment from all over the states and sending to our warehouse in Sisak Croatia to be distributed across The Balkans and Eastern Europe. In the last 3 weeks, we have been busy collecting from several local high schools across Houston as well as equipment being delivered from throughout Texas as well as from across the states. This past weekend we spent our Saturday morning sorting and packing a lot of that equipment to prepare for our big shipment to Croatia, as well as to other countries like Iceland and Peru. This ministry has been such a blessing to be a part of and to witness the community effort that it takes to accomplish it. 17,000 pounds doesn’t just sort and pack itself and for us to gain access to that amount year after year, takes the willingness of individuals, schools and companies to donate. So let me say thank you to all who have helped make this possible. 

Speaking of miracles; the city of Sisak is coming alongside the Storks Baseball Club and making many improvements to The NEST, all at their expense. This is a huge answer to prayer and such a blessing. We will be hosting the 15U European Qualifier Tournament this July 16-22 and I am actually honored and blessed to be asked to be one of the coaches of the Croatian National Team. The Storks were gifted with an inning-by-inning electronic scoreboard from a team in Zagreb who lost their field, but The Nest was not equipped with electricity to run the new scoreboard. The city of Sisak has is now building us a press box, complete with electricity, so that the scoreboard can be run properly. They also ran electricity to the clubhouse! Not only did the city run electricity, but they also put in a septic system, water to the clubhouse, and water to the back of the pitcher’s mound so that the field can now be watered. They also cemented the dugout floors and cemented the top of the stage we built 6 years ago to host Fields of Faith events during the tournament. And lastly they brought in some good dirt for the field and had it spread and rolled to make the field level! We are so blessed to witness this monumental gesture to a field we have prayed for since 2007 (a Field of Weeds), helped build in 2010 (a Field of Dreams) and dedicated in 2011 (a Field of Faith.) 

Who knows what the Lord has planned next, both here locally with more donated equipment, more countries asking for help, to more fields to be built across Eastern Europe! We are ready to go where He calls and opens the door for us to go and do what He desires to get done!
