2018 Summer MLO Is On!

Well we are packed and ready to go for this summer‘s mission learning opportunity, MLO! After spending the last four days packing extra bags for our team members to bring with us, we are ready to go! I am actually currently in the Toronto Canada airport, typing this as I wait for my connecting flight to Zagreb Croatia. This is a new flight pattern that is just now being offered since the airport in Croatia was expanded last year! I am excited knowing that once I land on the other side of the pond I will be in Zagreb. After a full 24 hours of flight and layovers I will be looking forward to some down time at HiS HOUSE. 

However, that won’t last long as I have meetings starting tomorrow night after I land and continuing through the weekend. God has really opened up some huge opportunities for us to walk alongside others who are in need of help and we are willing to walk through those openings to see what God's desire is!

Speaking of the bags of gear, they are filled with baseball and football camp equipment, as well as much needed equipment for the Croatia national baseball teams, allowing them to compete in the European championships. We also have games for the youth camp in Zelena Dolena, to be used during their summer camps. These gifts were given by individuals as well as local high schools for us to take and share. 

Last but definitely not least, we were blessed to receive a box of painted tennis shoes from a group of talented elementary school art students in Vermont. We will use those to give to the needy families that we serve through the food bank in and around Sisak. Each of those shoes contains a special note from the designer to prayerfully set up an exchange of communication. God has really blessed us with the opportunity to love people right where they are, love them in their need, and love them till they ask why! Please keep us in your prayers as we will have 38 team members coming and going over the next four weeks!
