WHOM SHALL I SEND?

In Isaiah 6 verse 8, Isaiah hears the voice of the Lord saying: "Whom shall I send, who will go for us?" Isaiah's response was not simply "Here I am", but his was "Here I am, send me!" Do you see the difference in those two responses? Saying "here I am" only, implies a doubt or hesitation, only acknowledging that you have heard! By following that response up with, "send me!", shows determination, enthusiasm, dedication and most importantly dependence on the Lord, to do what He is asking! 

What is your response? To go and be sent is to be open to walk where God leads, trusting in His Holy Spirit to guide and leaning on His understanding and not your own! All of us are called to reach others! God didn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called and He has called us all to testify for Him. For most of us it doesn't mean traveling 6,000 miles away, but simply walking 6 feet away to share His love with someone, more accurately, with everyone who crosses your path! 

I often fail when I come home from a Mission Learning Opportunity by using the time to rest and recuperate.  Although that's not wrong physically, I also allow it to happen Spiritually and fail to reach out and love those here at home! We all have a ministry, we are all missionaries in some form and fashion and we are all on a Mission Learning Opportunity that never ends! MLO's should not be segments of our lives where we look for opportunities to learn and minister, but should become a lifestyle of constantly allowing the Holy Spirit to teach us and show us opportunities to minister! Let's start our MLO today and let's end it the day our Heavenly Father takes us home to be with Him! Are you ready for a lifestyle change? Are you ready to shout, "Here I Am, Send ME!"

God called me and many others to go to The Balkans, and my prayer is that He calls more of you to come with us in the future. But don't wait for our next mission to start, look for ways He can use you today! 

A brief update on the mission front 6,000 miles away:  We are excited about the development of our next Croatia MLO and more elated and encouraged by the cooperation of the city of Sisak, the businesses and the people who live there! In March of 2018 HiS PRINT will be hosting a football coaches clinic, a baseball coaches clinic and a hockey players camp, all in a 10 day span. For us to pull that all together and make it a success we need cooperation from more resources and availability than HiS PRINT possesses.  That's where the city, businesses and people of Sisak come in! 

The first HiS PRINT Baseball Coaches Clinic was held in March of 2016 at HiS HOUSE.  That first year we hosted over 70 coaches and participants from 9 different countries, and we quickly out-grew our facilities! God pulled it off, in spite of the over crowdedness and bad weather! But He made it clear that we needed to further our reach and be prepared to involve others to help in 2018! As we follow that lead, we are now in the process of locating & securing housing for 125 coaches (well above the 50 we can sleep comfortably at HiS HOUSE!), indoor teaching space to accommodate more than the 75 we can squeeze into our Upper Room meeting space, and outdoor as well as indoor training space for demonstrations.

I have asked a young brother, Lordan, to walk alongside us and be our feet and voice to the many moving parts in Croatia! He is excited about the opportunity and up for the challenge to find all available locations for housing, meeting, teaching and demonstrating! We have already received approval from the city of Sisak to use their turf soccer field for outside demonstrations.  As you may recall from an earlier blog, we have secured use of a new indoor gym facility located within 2 miles of HiS HOUSE, and we now have use of a soccer club with indoor and outdoor facilities in a village that is 2 miles from HiS HOUSE in the other direction!

God is at work!  With the help of local authorities, individuals, clubs and brothers, March 2018 is shaping up to host any and all who God chooses to bring for the camps and clinics. (By the way, the city of Sisak is building a dome over their ice rink which will allow year-round skating.  We have already started negotiations to use it for the players camp!)
