POLAND 2017 - BLESSINGS RETURNED
Day Two of Camp in Poland has drawn to a close and our team sits here in awe of the love that fills this place. This year has been a special time or reconnecting with many of the same young women and men who have been at camp the last couple of years as well as welcoming a handful of new campers in the group of 22 - we've even welcomed in younger and older siblings of previous campers.
While camp has been a great success, it is all the surrounding activities where we enjoy seeing eyes opened and hearts connecting in friendship. Brett Posey came with us as a new team member this year and blessed all and opened the door for new relationship by sharing how God used his experience as a trainer at Sea World and the Houston Zoo. Robert, Brittany, Christina and C-Bass have been tremendous in not letting tired bodies slow them down as they interact and share with the campers over crafts and games in the gym.
We were even blessed last evening to get to "work out" with the next generation of players....the Tigers; Coach Roberts 5-6 year old up-and-coming players....talk about a great way to recharge your batteries!!!
As today rolled to a close and the Team was enjoying quality discussion on Faith, we were given a tremendous gift of love and blessed beyond measure by Coach Robert and the campers with a 4th of July Tribute. He and the campers coordinated and performed a tribute to US and Texas history...and to the History of HiS Print coming to Poland.....complete with music and reenactments that covered Christopher Columbus, the Alamo, the Apollo Mission, and the 1st HiS Print camp to this year's softball championship for the Owls. As one of our team said during the show - these kids are remarkable. Their gift from the heart to honor us for being here on our country's birthday was a model of what "loving them where they are" really means - and was a blessing for the team. Coach Robert - our HiS Print team Member here in Poland - is certainly modeling Christ in his community and it's a joy to work along side him.
Today is our annual baseball game and tomorrow we wind down with Baseball Olympics. Pray for tired bodies to continue to hold up for the team and .....as the kids reminded us last night, share God's Love and our love for one another as a way of celebrating the freedoms we enjoy on this 4th.....now 5th of July.
God's Peace from Poland
