Weekend to Remember? Which is it?
What do you remember from history? How often do you learn from it? I guess there is some history that is worth repeating and others, not so much! This weekend on Saturday evening, I went back in time, to 1590's and attended a knights festival here in Sisak where the Croatian army defeated the Turks and halted their invasion and march across Europe. It was a marvelous time with Neven and his family and actually saw many there that I knew from our own 12 year history of coming to Sisak to share the gospel.
Sunday morning and evening was Blessed at Church with several young people several from Library program there. Coach Antonio came and sat with me! There were several Sisak Storks there at church and it is great to have them a part of the baseball club. Sunday morning as I sat outside during my devotions, I could feel and hear the strong wind approaching through the trees several times and it reminded me of the power of the Holy Spirit. Then the sermon was on the power of the Holy Spirit taken from John 3:8. Godcidence! and then during the service the Spirit guides me to Isaiah 40:9. Lift up the name of the Lord, shout His name from the mountains, speak up and do not be afraid. This will be our marching orders for our MiLO 2017.
The Football Alliance Committee for TheBalkans (FACT) is now officially working together and a wonderful experience to work with these men who are from different countries and teams, but have the desire to help others as their central theme! Thank you God for bringing Mario, Vukasin and Srdan into my life and their willingness to help HiS PRINT!
Sunday afternoon I went to Zagreb to meet with Mandic the coach of the Croatia National Softball team, as well as coach for several baseball teams. A blessed time of sharing and talking about needs for Croatia softball and baseball. There are many, so it gives me another confirmation that we need to continue our work at collecting and shipping equipment!
Spent the evening downtown with Janko after Sunday night service discussing the future of HiS PRINT and HiS HOUSE. It is very important that we begin praying for a couple to come and help him run HiS HOUSE and all the events surrounding it! Please join me in praying for Gods appointment and provision of a couple here to Sisak!
Lastly, I must share how orchestrated Crane Logistics to ship our 16,000 pounds of sports equipment. They have been such a blessing and actually took no profit from shipping this latest 40 foot container! They are 100% behind what we are doing and are willing to work with us in the future! Thank you God for Herb Winters and his willingness to forward our request to others he knew in the logistics department at United who then passed it along to Crane! Gods hand in it all the way and now we need you to join us in praying it gets here and through customs safely, due to arrive July 23 !
Thanks to each of you for your time, support and prayers in reading what God is doing here in Croatia, The Balkans and Eastern Europe!
Remember Jesus loved you and so do I!
