Day 7 - God is So Good!

Folks,

We have a saying in our ministry that we like to say to one another! Hang on to Jesus's Robe tight because you are in for one heck of a ride! And that saying could not be any more accurate to how I am feeling right now. I sent a text to a great friend of mine this morning that told him I felt like a kid on a roller coaster and I was coming down off the top of a big drop with my arms extended and held up high! I feel that giddy and have that much joy from all that is going on around us! I have tried sitting down for the past 24 hours to write this blog, but can't seem to put any of it into words, that even begin to explain my emotions!

First, all the programs have been a real success and the children that are involved in everyone of them have been reached with God's love and their reception of us has blessed us to the depths of our hearts! The orphanage was a real treat to share our time with those children and everyone of our team left there with tears in their eyes and souls that will never be the same! You want to take each of them home with you and when you realize you can't you just want the time for next year to go quickly so you can return and love on them again! The administration there invited us back again next year and we will definitely make it! The library program at both places was a huge success and many children's hearts were touched through the love of our team and the presentations that were given! That program continues to grow and we are running out of room so will have to look into getting another area so that no child will be turned away. Sis and the crew took them out for ice cream and that was a real treat to have them join us for one of our favorite pass-times! The dance camp completed with Rachel having to go home early for camp counselor duties! Her impact on those girls from her teaching and sharing her testimony will be forever felt long after she departs! They actually met today with out her to see if they could still do the dance for us at the carnival without her leadership! What a blessing to witness that dedication and will be praying that they will feel comfortable to put on the routine Rachel taught!

Baseball camp has grown to almost 60 players and it has been a ball teaching and watching them improve each time we meet, which is twice a day and every day we meet, which will conclude today! The young ones could actually tell us where each position was and how the game is played! That is a huge accomplishment and couldn't be more proud of them! We played games this morning and handed out all of the shirts and this afternoon we play the baseball Olympics which is always a highlight! The international players, coaches and missionaries have been a real joy to have with us and to watch 35, 5 more coming this afternoon, come and go, it is like watching an army deploy! I have had each of them go through the gear in the storage garage and they have filled their bags full of goodies! They are ready to go and use this knowledge and the equipment they have received for His glory! Each of them has asked if we would come to their cities and countries in the future to put on camps and community projects! Knowing we can't be everywhere but having the desire to help anywhere, we will be praying that some of you would have the desire to join us in the future and help HiS PRINT leave HiS Love in other countries!

Thursday night Joe and I were invited to the American Ambassador to Croatia's house for a July 4th celebration in his garden. So we dressed up in our suits and headed up to Zagreb and with no anticipations or expectations, we went hanging on to Jesus's robe! Well, if we were to measure how beneficial and how it touched our hearts, on a scale of 1 to 10, we would have to say it was a 50! We were amongst 300 visitors invited and only those with invitations were allowed in. We went through the reception line meeting the Ambassador and his wife, went into the garden and met up with his assistant, Terri and her daughters. They told us where to stand and it so happened it allowed us to watch the Marine color guard perform and present the colors and because of our elevation of the hill, could see the Ambassador as he addressed the crowd. The new President of Croatia arrived and Terri made it a point for Joe and I to get a picture with her! What a treat it was to shake the hand of new President, having just met the outgoing President of Croatia last May in Houston! My head is trying to grasp all of these opportunities and I am just thankful God keeps placing the people in front of our path that allows us to do so! Phil Berguist, back in Houston is the Honorary Consulate to Croatia and he arranged for us to meet the old President while in Houston and Terri Gilbert arranged our opportunity to meet the new President here in Croatia! AMAZING AND MIND BLOWING!

At the end of the evening, Terri introduced Joe and me to Mike Rousek who is the American Economic Unit Chief in Croatia and he was so excited to hear about our programs and our desire to bring in some small business that he wants to meet in the near future and discuss how he can help and apply for some money from the European Union that is available to use for just such investments! After our meeting back in March when we were here and met with the Ambassador, we told him to come down to Sisak and see all that is going on the neat developments that are happening. The Ambassador was not able to but Mike did and he was so impressed with the movement here!  We have always said we pray and write our plans in pencil and then hand God the eraser knowing He is in control and we will adjust where He deems necessary! Well, currently our plans and His plans seem to be moving right along side one another, because not only are we not having to change plans, He keeps granting opportunities to make things easier!

God bless you all and sorry for the length of the message as well as the delay! I am still not able to process all that has happened and this blog has not begun to touch on the depth of my overwhelming emotions, but hope that you have at least caught a small glimpse of what God is doing! We are hanging onto His robe and loving the ride!

Blessings and remember Jesus loves you and so do I!
David (Mossman)
