Day 10 - Rest Much Awaited and Much Needed

Sorry, I've been away from the internet for the past day and half so was unable to send updates on the past happenings.

Sunday was a welcomed day of rest! Yesterday and last night were a whirlwind of activity, much like the other days only different. Different in the sense that we didn't have all the different programs going on but getting ready for a city wide carnival is about as crazy you would like to get. Knowing we had to spend the whole day organizing, I sent the entire team down to the river park to help set up booths and then off to the field to cheer on the Storks in their game against Serbia. This allowed me and Rock the opportunity to pull out all the games and big prizes and Sis to organize the smaller candy and giveaway prizes!

For the next 6 hours we pulled prizes and games out, put things together and organized prizes with games. Then the task was to go put them in the car and make the many trips necessary to get them to the river walk. Many of the campers and cadets from the baseball team came out to help and they were a blessing to have. They stayed and helped not only set up but to help in many of the booths during the carnival as well!

The carnival was a huge success! More people came and participated in the games and activities, but most importantly all three churches that I had invited came and participated and having them was a real blessing.  My prayer is that they would walk alongside us and then reach out to the participants from the community service projects in the library and the contacts and seeds we plant in the carnival! They are really getting the vision and God will grow the discipleship through their participation.

The music was great and God laid it on my heart to really share the importance of Christ alone, nothing else matters and God made us for a love relationship. The band October Light was fantastic! Danko, the blind guitar player that visited us in the states, was awesome as well and every body really enjoyed it!  We cleaned up around 9 and everyone helped and it went smoothly! got home, cleaned up and went to bed! It was an amazing day and we are blessed to serve God here in SISAK.

Sunday was a great day of worship and I was blessed to be asked to preach at Betel, the third and final Baptist church in this area. Much of the group went home on Sunday and a group of us headed to Split to start football camp!  Sis stayed in SISAK with a group to begin working with the nursing home, handicap facility and the blind association.

Take care and thanks to everyone of your support and prayers! Couldn't accomplish what we do without you! Explaining to the football played today about all the people who support, pray and provide equipment for us can only be explained by God's hand!

Have a wonderful God filled day and remember Jesus loves you and so do I!
