Croatia Winter 2015 Day 5 (March 3)
Folks,
If I were to write down all that has gone on these past 24 hours, I would not be able to finish till tomorrow, the words I would use would not be adequate to describe all that has happened and you would never read it because the length would keep you from your responsibilities, but let me at least attempt to put some of it in words that will at least give you an idea of the enormity of our Daddy God's love, protection, reach and desire for each of us to let go and let Him take us to heights we could never imagine, even through the depths we sometimes walk through!
First and foremost, with tears in my eyes, I say a heartfelt thank you for all those prayers for my father, Mossman Sr.! What an outpouring of support and love that I have felt over these past 24 hours and I am happy to report that he is home and although there are some conditions with his health are not solved, he is out of immediate danger and we are praying for healing with a condition with his bladder. Stress from a test he took earlier that day concerning this condition, caused a stress level that caused a TIA. He was taken to the hospital and kept under observation for about 24 hours, his speech returned and was able to complete cognitive tests! Please continue to pray for him and this bladder condition that has not allowed him to sleep well or get far from the house for over a year now! My mom is holding up well and could use your prayers as well. We all know there is power in prayer, I am witnessing it hourly on this trip, and having you all praying for him, I know healing is on it way!
Now to try and explain today, I will give it the old college try to bring color to a black and white typed page so that you can catch a glimpse of what God is doing in and around here in Croatia, from the small city of Sisak to the capital of Zagreb and many places in between. The tears will flow again as I start to describe God's wonderful hand of leading and His pathway of direction that continues to be paved in front of us and we just hang onto the hem of Jesus' robe as we walk forward! After a morning of devotions with Sis, Joe and Janko that was tear filled, we marched forward knowing the Holy Spirit was in the lead and that He was going to be using these little italicized letter i's in mighty ways! Sis headed up to Lekenik to meet the new activity director at the SOS Orphanage. We have been doing programs there for the past 3 years and wanted to make sure we were still welcomed to come this summer to continue sharing God's love! Well, Sis was welcomed with open but hesitant arms, at least at first. But after her visit, the invitation to come and share was extended and they were excited to have us back this summer so we will be here to share with the many children, ages 13 and younger! What a blessing it has been to have Sis (Shannon Johnston) a part of this ministry these past 9 years. She is our administrative assistant and Community Outreach Director and is so valuable that I could not begin to thank her and God or tell her adequately what she means to me and the ministry of HiSPRINT!
Joe and I headed downtown to meet with Marko, the former Stork baseball player who is now the Vice Mayor of Sisak! Well, first to have him in this position is nothing but a God appointment! He is young and had little political experience that would not elevate him to being the first choice to be the second in command! Thank you God! Last year I approached him to ask if we could have the Texas Carnival day downtown on the river walk instead of on the baseball field on the outskirts of town. He agreed and arranged for us to have it downtown last summer and the event was successful we were praying to approach him again on this trip to request again that opportunity! That was our main purpose for this meeting and to find out how he was doing and to visit personally! We met him in his official office downtown and the hugs and smiles we were greeted with immediately, were heart felt and blessed us! I started the meeting asking him what form of feedback you had from the community on the carnival last year and he said that he did not receive one bit of negative information and actually the mayor had asked him on Monday when she found out that we were back in town, were we going to having the Carnival again this summer! Marko said that we had open invitation to host it downtown and we then told him our intentions to host it on Saturday, July 4th! So we are all set for the Texas Carnival to happen on Saturday July 4th, so all you Texans pack your bags and come and celebrate with us here in Sisak Croatia!!
During the meeting with Marko I felt a pull to have Joe share with him about the lighting project with Venntis we are looking to use to provide jobs and hope to this region of the world. Croatia and specifically the city of Sisak is our target to base this operation out of and that we were here to have meetings with several companies and individuals concerning how to do this and lay the ground work to make this happen. This was not our intent and I actually caught Joe somewhat off guard, although he is now quite used to me pulling a fast one or calling an audible. Well, the rest is history, because as Joe has always done, he spoke with the spirit leading and began to reveal the plan and didn't even bring out the presentation, but his words and then the demonstration of the white commercial light, immediately had Marko on the phone calling his advisor and within 10 minutes, that advisor was in the meeting with us. Marko asked him to show the presentation and in the matter of moments, this advisor was on the phone with the electric company who was contracted to come and re-do the city street lights in the near future. That advisor than wanted to schedule a meeting with them for today to see how Venntis and HiS PRINT could partner to help with this project. To top it all off, Joe then showed them the Grow Light technology and what it has been proven to help greenhouse growers produce higher yield through better growth at a significant reduced cost in electricity. Marko's eyes lit up as he began to explain that the city had just approved a proposal to help a local farmer to build a greenhouse! WOW! Only God could have put that all in place in the timing that only He can do. We will see what comes of it, but the potential is fantastic and we will see how God will use these open doors! The advisor left and we finished the time with Marko and at the end I asked him if I could pray and he immediately lowered his head and said yes of course. Needless to say I left the office after a big hug of love, with tears in my eyes and sobbed the entire ride home to HiS HOUSE at just witnessing God's hand at work in the entire process of 10 years of loving people where they are!
We had another meeting with Slavik, the Chamber of Commerce President, and that meeting was just as much a blessing! I shared what HiS PRINT has been doing and what the future is for this summer as well as the future plans of HiS HOUSE. Then Joe put his blessing of communicating to work and the Slavik and the other gentleman, Milosh (Pastor from Betel Baptist Church) were impressed beyond belief and told us that they would love to see this company happen here in Sisak and that they have contacts all around Croatia and surrounding countries. God blessed our socks off in those meetings and since I have already written a small chapter in a novel I will spare you the events that occurred at the Handicap facility and Blind Association and the welcoming reception we received at both. I will include it on tomorrows blog so that you can witness in writing the blessings we received there and that you are a huge part of through your prayers and support!
Have a wonderful God filled day!
Mossman
