Tried this Three Times! Go Texas Carnival

Tried to type this blog three times now on an email and every time the system went down and my email closed and lost all the information. Now I decided I would put it on a word document and therefore have it if satan wanted to stop me again. I know I will not remember all that I told you in the first couple of email that were deleted but will hit the highlights.

We are closing in on the end of the first week and the library and SOS orphanage programs are complete! It was an amazing week and a lot of children were touched. All total with the library, orphanage, baseball and dance camp, we shared and witnessed to over 200 children. Watching their eyes light up when we arrive and participate with them is priceless!

In about 1 hour we will be hosting the Texas Carnival downtown at the city park along the river. This is a huge event for us and an opportunity for us to share with more of the people of Sisak. We are ready and excited about what God is doing and the open doors He continues to produce. We have the carnival games, Rachel and her dance camp participants will perform and then we will October Light a Christian rock band perform with me speaking and sharing the gospel in the middle! I am excited about this opportunity and ask that you pray for clarity of the presentation and open hearts and minds to hear God’s word. We go to love them where they are and to love them till they ask why!

On one sad note. One of the young boys at the SOS orphanage, Carlo, tried to commit suicide by jumping in front of traffic. His life was spared but he is not doing well and remains in a coma in the hospital. This touched my heart deeply because Carlo, was the young man I spend much time with last summer teaching him how to play the harmonica. When I didn’t see him on Tuesday I asked Sis to find out on Thursday when they returned, where he was. That is when they told her what had happened to him a couple of weeks ago. Please pray for my young friend, Carlo.
God bless and remember Jesus loves you and so do I! I will report later on how the carnival went! Enjoy Shannon’s report on the library and orphanage programs below.
Your friend, David
