Dear Prayer Team -
As you can see below, there is much need for fervent prayer.  As has happened in the past, plans are having to be changed on the spot.  The amazing thing is that God is never surprised and He will accomplish great things.  I'm trying to reach Debbie by phone to see if there is something we might do here to help them obtain a lawn mower.  In the meantime, please continue to ask God to change the mind of the authorities in Sisak about mowing the field.

Thank you for praying.
Earl

Earl,
I just got off the phone with David. Hopefully I can remember all he told me as I was driving home from work.
Marde got in today. She got to see Anna and encourage her. It was a good visit.
The meeting at the SOS orphan village did not take place today as planned. There was communication error and the meeting was set up for the wrong date. Pray they can get this corrected and get up there to meet with them and make plans to visit and minister to the orphans. It was dissapointing, but as we have learned in the past, we can be flexible, so instead of going to the village, Heidi and Shannon got to spend the day with Charlene Hiller (the missionary there from Canada) and her daughter. They were able to encourage them and give Charlene much needed support and Christian friendship that she has so little of. Svjetlana was able to join them also. They all spent the day in Zagreb and had a great day together. Pray for Shannon as she was not feeling well when she got back to Sisak this evening. She thinks she might have eaten something that didn't agree with her.
David went looking for a mower with Ivan's father this morning. They had a great time together, but did not get a mower. The cost was more than anticipated, so please pray for the provision of a mower for the field. After that David and Wyatt worked on the field the rest of the day. They walked to Ivan's house for lunch then back to the field. Several Storks  were there to help. The Storks went to the river and got chunks of clay to build a pitchers mound. David said it was very difficult to work with and very dry. They were able to make due with it by mixing it with lots and lots of water. They got the mound built, it's not perfect, but it will work. The did the best they could with the resources they had. That makes it the ONLY pitchers mound in Croatia! He said Wyatt (Shannon's son, one of the teens from FBC) was a huge help. He worked really hard pulling weeds and mixing clay to build the mound. They are both exhausted so please pray for their stamina and that they get much needed rest tonight. Several of the Storks are going to bring their little push mowers tomorrow to try and mow the weeds. David doesn't think it will work, but they are willing to try. The City has refused to mow, so please pray that the individual mowers will work and that the City will change it's mind and mow the field for them. This really needs to be done! After working on the mound most of the day, David, Wyatt and the Storks had dinner with Coach Daniel and his wife this evening. The had a very nice time and lots of good food!
Also pray for safe travel for Joe and the group coming with him. They get to Sisak tomorrow and Also for group going with Elizabeth. They leave Tues. morning and will get there on Wed. Pray all goes well and all their baggage arrives.
Thanks for all your prayers!
David via Debbie
