God is There in the Midst of the Trials and Tribulations! Part II

Hello Folks, me again!

Sorry for the double dose today on the update on all that is happening with me, my family and HiS PRINT and I hope the earlier email spoke to you in a way that it spoke to me and helped me, and I hope you as well, change your perspective as trials and tribulations come your way today and any day they may come. And we can most assuredly bank on, that they will come! Most of you have heard the phrase, when it rains it pours and that is what it feels like here! Not only is it raining but the flood waters are rising and it feels like I could be swept away by the current or drown by the torrential downpour! Between Steve’s declining health, trying to find his son Michael, the health of his other son Craig-who made it here from Arizona on Saturday and to the events and struggles surrounding HiS PRINT, it has been a rough road! Needing your specific prayers and appreciate each and every one of them!

My brother Steve is clinging to life as the cancer; spinal, brain, liver and other gastro areas ravages his body and zaps his strength. He is withering away but clings to life to hopefully make contact with his son Michael! Michael recently got out of prison and was staying at a halfway house in Florida. He walked away from that a couple of weeks ago and went back onto the streets. We have exhausted all our leads and contacts, but are clinging to the hope that God will have him make contact with us so that Steve can speak with him. He is somewhere in Miami or Ft, Myers, at least from our last connection and correspondence.  Please continue to pray for that contact to be made. Steve told me Sunday night that everytime someone comes in his room, he immediately thinks it is Michael. Also if you have time and can swing by to see him, I know he would appreciate it and although he may not be lucid when you come, he will hear your voice and appreciate your time and love! You have been praying for my two brothers and sister as they spent time here these past 4 or 5 days and what an answer to prayer we received! There has been a lot of separation and hurt over the years that had driven a wedge between all of us and the damage felt irreversible! We had not been together as a family for over 4 years and prior to that it had been over 10 years. When I reached out to each of my siblings to tell them that Steve was dying and his wish was to see them one last time, there was hesitation in all of them! But through God’s grace and nudge, each of them made the trek here and much healing and forgiveness took place at Steve’s bedside. All of your visits, love, singing, devotions and prayers touched my family to the core and aided in that healing process. Thank you so much!

Steve’s son Craig is here from Arizona and is going through some health issues himself and I will be taking him to the doctor this morning to have him checked out for possible gall bladder problems. He has spent most of his time between bed and the bathroom and every time he eats is in misery. He admits he hasn’t been to the doctor in over 5 years and pray we can get to the bottom of his health problems before he is scheduled to leave tomorrow to fly back to Arizona. Raining a little harder, but knowing God is in control and has the reins of our lives keeps me grounded.

He is the solid rock on which I stand!
He is the anchor that keeps me from drifting!
He is the lighthouse that warns me of the crashing rocks!
He is armor that I place on as I walk onward and upward!
He is my Abba Father, whose arms I run into to feel His warm embrace!

All of those characteristics are reminders for us to realize who God is and were themes from recent Tres Dias weekends I have worked and God used to help me through this time of trial!

Lastly, I would like your prayers for HiS PRINT and all that we have going on with the ministry! I was blindsided yesterday by a request from the person who has allowed us to house all of our donated baseball and football equipment that we had to have all of our stuff out of the warehouse by April 1st. He informed me through another person, that they were going in a different direction and needed all the space to house those things! Realizing that was in 7 or 8 days and that we weren’t planning on shipping our gear to Croatia till mid-April, I began to panic a little. My anchor began to slide, the light in the top of the warehouse became dim and forgot that I had my armor on; then the man whose father was housed at the same hospice as Steve, came along and said it’s not big problems you are facing, it’s big opportunities! So I need your prayers to help us use this opportunity to find a new and better place to house all of our donated baseball/football equipment and gear that we get from individual, little leagues, high schools and universities! We will be shipping, a 40 foot container, in early April, but that will not be all of the stuff and we receive donations constantly and anticipate collecting enough for another 40 foot container in the near future to take and distribute to the countries of Eastern Europe and The Balkans. God is really opening the doors for us to share His love and truth through sports in that region of the world!

In the meantime, we need to find another place and would prefer it to be in Pasadena, Webster, Pearland, League City or Friendswood area so that we can get to it easily and praying the rent will be affordable! Also need your prayers and support for the expansion of HiS HOUSE. Most of you know that we started the expansion project last summer and have been on hold due to weather and lack of finances to complete those. The expansion will allow us to host more people and allow us to teach and then equip them to use sport camps and community service projects to reach people with God’s love! The expansion would allow us to house up to 20 more people and with over 20 coming this summer from the USA and others who have asked to come from other countries in that region, we need to get this project completed! God has laid the vison on our hearts that we can use HiS PRINT and our summer Mission Learning Opportunities to teach indigenous disciples to do the same thing in their countries! We can bring them to Croatia, provide food and lodging for them while we are there and they can learn firsthand how to do the camps and community projects. Then when they are ready to leave, we can send the equipment necessary, which will be what is in the shipment, for them to do the same thing in their homeland. Then we can follow in future years if they desire a HiS PRINT team to come! We have already received requests from people who live in Serbia, Poland, Siberia, Kosovo and inquiries from others in Hungary and Ukraine and some interest in Astoria and Russia! God is really opening the door of opportunity there in that region and we need your help and support to make it happen.

Lastly, please pray for Shannon (Sis) and Super Joe Page, as they have handled all the needs for HiS PRINT up to this point. Taking the lead in getting the shipment ready, to handling the details of the expansion of HiS HOUSE. Without them the ministry would be at a standstill and with them it is marching forward full force! Also pray for our team as we prepare for this summer’s Mission Learning Opportunity! We will be heading out June 25 and be there till July 17th.

Again thanks for taking the time to read the updates and including us in your prayers. I am at rest knowing I have prayer warriors standing guard and protecting us! Have a wonderful God filled day! I should proof read this, but am just too tired and need to lay my head down to get a cat nap before the busy day begins.

Blessings,
David (Mossman)
