Poland Recap - Made it Safely Back to Croatia and HiS HOUSE!

Folks,

Wow what a mission learning opportunity this has been and one I will remember always. It has been such a blessing to have all the people here from the USA as well as so many other countries.  The  worship time and sharing through fellowship touched each of our hearts! The impact of having that many people gathered together was like having church every single day! You can't duplicate that in any other way and I will continue to pray that God expands this ministry to more and more of those in that 1,250 mile Target! He has laid that vision down and has drawn paths to make sure it happens! It is just a blessing to be a part of! We now have room to house 25 people here at HiS HOUSE and with the expansion of Phase 3, will be able to include more baseball teams, coaches, pastors and missionaries. Hanging on to Jesus's robe has never been more fun!

I would like to take a moment to recap Poland and our spiritual experiences there! God really used that time to help us as a team to grow closer to Him and to see our purpose in His plan!

Poland - Recap of our time

During our morning devotional time we had a key word to focus and pray on each day. The list below are those key words and scripture God laid on our hearts about how we are to be so in tune with Him, so all others see is Him when they see us!

INTIMACY with God the Father, 2 Timothy 4:6-18
SURRENDER our hearts to Him,  Phil. 4:4-13
RENEW our minds with Him, Romans 12:1-2
PASSION for serving because of the grace given, Not Servin' to be Earnin'! (My weak effort of trying to rhyme or rap!) Acts 20:16-24

On our last night here Coach Robert asked if he could come and stay with us! Of course we said we would love for him to join us, and after some time home with his family he came to the school. When he arrived we had just finished a study on being filled with the Holy Spirit.  He wanted to help clean the rooms and empty the trash. It was a blessed time of serving alongside our new brother. He asked me if he could spend some time with me to look into scripture and if I could explain what studying the Bible looked like. I told him I would be honored, so after we cleaned and the others were finishing up he came into my room and we began to talk. The first thing he wanted to do was to make sure the New Testament he brought with him from home was the same as mine! We looked up John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9 and John 14:6. His smile went from ear to ear when he realized that our Bibles were the same. I then shared with him two devotional books I brought with me and showed him how important is is to start with prayer, then read scripture followed by a devotion and another prayer. He expressed his desire to live for Jesus but that here in Poland it was hard! I assured him he was not alone, it is hard for all of us! That seem to surprise yet comfort him. I told him God would never leave nor forsake him and that His Holy Spirit was in his heart. He then asked me how could he be sure of this and I explained to him his confession to Jesus last year was his invitation and welcome into God's family. I then walked him through the understanding of who God is, who we in our sin were and who we are today through our faith and trust in Jesus!  After our talk I could tell he was still fearful and I told him to read the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in Daniel as well as Esther and see how they handled adversity in their surroundings.

After we finished everyone was in the room and he asked if we could pray! We each lifted our prayers for each other and Coach Robert closed with a wonderful prayer for us and his thankfulness of being lead by us into a personal relationship with Jesus! Blessed time of worship!

Sis was there at the airport in Croatia to pick us up and bring us back to HiS HOUSE.  What a blessing it is to be back.  We spent the afternoon in the garage reviewing the donated sports equipment.  Thanks to Robert Cissell's hard work sorting and organizing, we are able to share the equipment with other teams and coaches across the 1250 Target and ship it out to be used! We have already sent out close to 3,000 pounds of donated equipment and requests for much more will be filled in the near future!

Last night we went to Martin's for dinner with several of the Storks and their families and had a blessed time of eating and fellowship! They always provide a wonderful send off meal!

Thanks and the next time I talk with you, we will be stateside and back with out families! Thank you for your support and prayers and have a wonderful God filled day! We are as we shut down this years mission learning opportunity and head back home to continue to share and live out what we learned here. Everywhere and everyday is a mission field and opportunity to share Christ's love with others!

HE DID IT!
Let's Do IT!
