Last Day of Baseball Camp in Poland

Folks,

It's been a great ride here in Poland.  A lot of soil has been tilled and seeds planted and watered with a few coming to fruition. We are so blessed to be here with Coach Robert and his young coaching staff!

Last night we had some bad weather roll through after the morning camp and Joe Page, one of our HiS PRINT coaches, got his pinky finger pinched between two bats and we had to take him to the hospital to get stitched up! All is well and after 6 stitches and a bandage the size of Texas, he is doing well! The rain blew through and our plans were to have a BBQ outside and have some Polish sausages and other meat and then share with the campers our special treat, S'mores. Well the showers quit around 4:00, we got the fire started and many of the parents came and joined us for dinner. We had a wonderful time but about 3/4 of the way through our BBQ, the weather came crashing in again. We managed to get everything cooked from under the trees before the really hard rain came. The kids had a ball and although the rain was refreshing the cold wind was not! Actually could have used a winter jacket!

This morning we had our last practice for camp and had the Baseball Olympics.  Once again we had wet weather to start the morning. But after two rounds of games we moved outside to the turf soccer field and had sunny weather the rest of the morning. The competition between the teams was fierce and we had a great time! The players won candy and bandanas which they really loved.

Coach Robert had medals made up that were the size of a regular Olympic medal and had on one side the Olympic symbol and the words "2nd Baseball Olympics - Osowka, Poland 2015." I had no idea that he had made those and as he had me place them over the player's heads, one of them flipped over and there on the other side was the HiS PRINT footprint logo and it said "Powered by Jesus!" I was brought to tears and blessed by being able to place this on each child! Coach Robert shared his testimony of how he now had a personal relationship with Jesus and we are so excited to have him a part a our HiS PRINT team!

After lunch the players went home and we got the chance to greet many of the parents as they came to pick them up! We then went with Coach Robert to Torun to do a little sightseeing around this very old city. Many of the parts of the city were built back in the late 1400's. It is a beautiful city and we had a wonderful time! We are all very tired and ready for a little sleep and then up bright and early, and I do mean early as the sun rises here around 3:45, to drive to Warsaw and fly back to Sisak!

Thanks for all of your prayers and support! We have felt each of them and are ready to come home and share in person all that God did over here during our time these 3 weeks. This was indeed a mission learning opportunity and taking that education home with us to share year round and with all who cross our paths, by loving them where they are and loving them till they ask why!

Have a wonderful God filled day!
Mossman
