Day 12 - God Moving in So Many Ways

July 7

SISAK
Today was a really amazing day. We spent the morning in the handicapped organization. Janko brought his guitar and we sang together. The ladies said "that's the first time y'all have ever sang here, we loved it". They taught us how to decoupage boxes and bottles today. It was so much fun!

Afterwards, we went swimming in the Kupa and invited some kids. We had 8 kids show up and it was so much fun playing ball in the water with them!

For the first time, we hosted a movie night in the children's library. We popped 40 bags of popcorn and had 60 kids show up to watch Benchwarmers. (The movie was chosen by the librarians). We had Dr. Pepper and sour punch straws. It was a great time! The kids are so excited and they can't wait for next year's program.

On a side note, it's been a pleasure getting to know Ilya from Siberia. He has a heart for God and has joined us on all of our projects and programs. He is a really neat guy and has just rolled with the crew like he is one of us. (Actually, he is one of us now!)

Tomorrow, we will travel to Budapest, Hungary for some relaxing and sightseeing. Please pray for our safety. Ilya will spend the day with Elvis as he doesn't have a visa to be able to travel to Hungary.

The camps have gone so well and all the players are so eager to learn! The young players in baseball are learning so fast many of the new drills we teach them! I review them every day and they can now demonstrate them by themselves! The hope is that they will practice then and apply them when we leave! If they do they will get much better! Sharing Christ through prayer and testimonies, but you can see they have very little interest. Much like SISAK was 10 years ago! We will press on and walk through the doors God provides and they are at least listening so the seeds are being planted!

Day two of football camp was awesome and we made some great relationships with many of the players. The players are mostly men over 20 so it is a different dynamic than in baseball. But they are starting to develop friendships with the coaches and it was neat to watch the pockets of conversations going on well after practice. I was with the Sea Wolves as they gathered together to pass out the new football girdles, pants, helmets and pads! The thank you's kept coming but it was the broad smiles and wide eyes that made it all worth while. You could tell they were so thankful! These equipment donations allow them to play a game they love and allows us the platform to share Jesus's love for them!

We are hot and tired but extremely blessed to be here to plant the seed of Gods love in these players hearts! At this years football camp the director of football in Serbia is here and he brought 15 players with him. Next year he wants to invite the players from all their teams to come and participate. We are dreaming big together! God is opening more and more opportunities to share. After practice I gave him, Srdjan the Serbian football director a full set of 1990 NFL football cards! He was so excited to get them and said that this will help him so much in generating more interest! He said that when he hands them out to the players, they will go google the person they got a card of and it will help get them interested in the game. God can even use old football and baseball cards for His plans and for His Glory!

Just blessed to be here and a part of this wonderful ministry! Remember Jesus loves you and so do I!
